As part of Campus Asia Project jointly supported by Korea, Japan and China, Campus Asia Summer Camp will be held at Korea Maritime and Ocean University(KMOU). The joint Campus Asia Summer Camp is held from 18th to 31st of July, 2018. This program is a collaborative education program in the marine science and technology with an aim for sustainable development in the maritime fields of East Asia through mutual cooperation and collaboration. The 2018 Summer Camp will be participated by 34 students from the three countries: 17 students from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, 10 from Shanghai Ocean University, and 7 from KMOU. They join together in a class to hear lectures by professors from the three countries and carry out team projects. The program consists of various lectures like on "renewable energy", "Japanese experiences and challenges", "ocean and climate change", "utilizing carbon capture and storage(CCS) and reducing greenhouse gases", field trips to marine-related institutions and companies like KAIST and Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering(DSME), culture class on Korean language and culture, marine leisure activities and team projects.
